Brian ‘Fast’ Leiser, Frank Benbini and Naim Cortazzi have hit the road to celebrate 25 years of the LP, which features the hits Love Unlimited and Korean Bodega.

The band is performing the album in its entirety, along with hits including Scooby Snacks, King of New York and Loco, at Sin City on 6 December.

FLC will perform 16 dates across the UK, including Liverpool, Manchester, London, Cardiff, Bristol, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Over the next four months, the Criminals will visit 10 countries and play more than 40 dates in the UK, Europe, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand.

Multi-instrumentalist Fast, who took over lead vocalist duties after Huey Morgan quit in 2021, said: “Fans should expect an electrifying live experience.”

The album was certified platinum soon after its release and its hit singles helped to propel it to No.3 in the UK charts.

Officials from the Colombian government were outraged at the album title which they claimed undermined ‘efforts to stamp out the drug trade’.

After the release of the album, which featured blues legend B.B King, Fun Lovin’ Criminals became one of the most sought after live acts in the UK and Europe.

The Criminals’ platinum debut album, Come Find Yourself, released in 1996, features the 90s anthem Scooby Snacks which famously contains dialogue from Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.

Fast, who founded the band in 1993 in New York City with former members Huey Morgan and Steve Borogvini, said: “It will be an honour to perform the songs from 100% Colombian to our fans.

“This album has a special place in their hearts and we are committed to delivering unforgettable performances while bringing a fresh energy to the stage.”

This year, Fast, Frank and Naim have also shared headline slots and stages with Jamiroquai, Jake Shears and Nile Rodgers & Chic among many others.

Drummer Frank Benbini, who joined the band in 2003, said: “It’s going to be very special.

“For more than two decades I’ve nurtured the songs live from 100% Colombian – but never have we played the album in its entirety.

“It will be great to bring that album alive for the fans of the band.”

The trio’s latest EP, The Capistrano Sessions, has been released on limited edition vinyl and digitally and signals a world-weary jazz-funk new direction for the band.

Guitarist Naim Cortazzi, who has performed with Beverley Knight and Happy Mondays, added: “I’m thrilled to be part of this milestone tour and contribute my own style to the iconic Fun Lovin’ Criminals sound.

“The shows so far in Europe have been incredible.

“We are ready to create an unforgettable experience for our fans and celebrate the music that has brought us all together.”
