Tyler Ford, 18, from Morriston, has been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Ceiran Evans, who died following a collision in Gorseinon on Thursday.
Ford has also been charged with the attempted murder of a second victim, South Wales Police said.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 July.
Police were called to Pen Cae Crwn Road, Gorseinon, at around 1pm on Thursday 9 July following a report of a collision involving a car and an off-road bike.
An 18-year-old man involved in the collision died.
The force said that although formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of Ceiran Evans, from Gorseinon, is being supported and kept updated by specially trained family liaison officers.
A 19-year-old man remains in hospital.
The charge follows a series of arrests over recent days, with five men having been arrested in connection with the investigation.
Ward councillors in Gorseinon have urged people not to share footage of the incident online while the investigation continues.
