Housing association consults on plans for 31 homes on Pontlliw field

Housing association Pobl has launched a pre-planning consultation for the construction of 31 homes on a field in the village of Pontlliw.

Pobl’s proposals for the field off Clodir Road are just yards away from the village’s Primary School.

The properties, which are all proposed to be for affordable rent by the housing association, include 9 one-bed apartments, 2 two-bed ‘alms house’ bungalows, 3 two-bed bungalows, 9 three-bed semi-detached houses and 8 four-bedroom detached houses.

According to planning documents, all of the houses are said to come with generous gardens, and with 2 car parking spaces.

The apartments are said to have been designed to have the appearance of houses.

Active travel links from the housing estate to Clodir Road is also proposed, along with a children’s play area.

The proposals are open for consultation with Asbri Planning until 20 June before a formal planning submission is made to Swansea Council.
