The Ospreys’ first night at the rebuilt St Helen’s began with flames along the touchline and ended with the players thanking the crowd.
In between, they beat the Dragons 31-14, with five tries and a bonus point, in the wind and rain of Storm Boelo.

A crowd of 5,592 braved the weather for the Ospreys’ first game at St Helen’s since 2020.
Swansea Council leader Rob Stewart officially opened the ground and blew the first whistle before kick-off.
The players wore one-off shirts with the fixture and the date printed on the front.
Before kick-off, the jerseys were handed out by first-team coach Richard Kelly, a Swansea-born lock who played 94 games for Swansea RFC.

Co-captain Sam Parry finished off a driving maul for the third. Rio Dyer stepped inside two men for the Dragons’ reply, to make it 19-7 at the break.
