Natalie Collins, aged 37, from Jersey Quay, Sandfields, has been sentenced to 22 months in prison for perverting the course of justice and for harassment.

Over a six-month period, she carried out a campaign of harassment against her ex-partner and his new girlfriend – which included making false allegations to employers, landlords, social services and the police.

Detective Constable Alana Lan from South Wales Police said: “Harassment is a serious offence which should not be taken lightly. This kind of behaviour negatively affects the victim’s day to day quality of life and puts them under constant stress and fear.

“Natalie Collins carried out an orchestrated campaign of harassment over a prolonged period of time, which had a massive impact on the lives of both her victims.

“Her behaviour was carefully planned to cause maximum distress, but she saw nothing wrong with what she was doing, or the impact it was having.

“I hope that her sentencing allows both victims to move on with their lives.”
