Since its first stories went live in 2020, the site has grown into a trusted source of daily news, covering everything from council decisions and regeneration projects to breaking incidents and community campaigns. Today, Swansea Bay News attracts over 120,000 views every month, a testament to the appetite for accessible, independent reporting rooted in the local area.

Editor, Kit Peters said the milestone was “a chance to thank our readers, contributors and partners who have supported us over the past five years. Our mission remains the same: to deliver clear, accurate and impactful journalism that empowers communities across Swansea Bay and beyond.”

Looking ahead, Swansea Bay News will continue to expand its coverage of civic affairs, strengthen its digital offering, and build on its reputation as the leading independent outlet in South West Wales.
