A-level students in Swansea can claim free chicken on results day this Thursday, whatever their grades.
Slim Chickens is giving students three of its hand-breaded tenders and a dipping sauce free at its Wind Street restaurant on Thursday 13 August.
There is a catch to get right before turning up: students must sign up online first at slimchickens.co.uk/resultsday to receive a code by email, then show their A-level results at the till and scan the QR code.
No minimum grades apply. The chain says the offer stands whether students are celebrating, commiserating or simply relieved the wait is over.
A spokesperson for Slim Chickens UK said: “Results Day is a massive moment. Whether you’re jumping for joy, things haven’t quite gone to plan, or you’re just relieved it’s finally over, we think you deserve some free chicken.”
“Grab your results, grab your mates and come see us, we’ll bring the chicken,” they said.
The small print matters: one free portion per person, in the restaurant at the till only. The offer cannot be redeemed at kiosks, through click and collect, or on delivery, and it runs for one day only, subject to availability.
The offer applies at Slim Chickens restaurants across the UK apart from six excluded sites, none of which are in Wales.
The Wind Street restaurant opened in June 2025, bringing the American chain’s buttermilk chicken to what it called the city’s favourite party street.
It has since spread into the former Carl’s Jr unit next door, which now operates as its delivery collection point.
Slim Chickens is one of six major chicken chains to have opened or expanded in Swansea in 18 months, a run that has made the city the centre of a south west Wales fried chicken boom.
Thousands of students across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire collect their A-level results on Thursday morning.
