Police say they were called at 3pm on Friday January 31 with a report that a knife had been found in a student’s bag at Brynitirion Comprehensive School in Bridgend.

This followed an incident where two Year 10 pupils were involved in an altercation.

Neighbourhood Sector Inspector Gareth Newman from South Wales Police said: “Investigations are continuing to ascertain the full circumstances behind the incident. There were no reported injuries, and a 15-year-old teenage boy is assisting officers with their inquiries.
