The lcv group, formerly known as Low Cost Vans, is thrilled to celebrate 25 years of empowering businesses and communities. From its roots in Belfast to its current base in Swansea, South Wales the lcv group has grown from a small, local business into an industry leader, recognised for its people-first approach in vehicle leasing and fleet services.
The lcv group began as a modest venture in Belfast, founded by Rod Lloyd, who soon brought the company to Wales. Starting with just two members of staff in Morriston, Swansea, the company quickly outgrew its initial premises and moved to a larger location in Skewen, Neath, which also housed a used-vehicle site.

In 2018, Rod Lloyd acquired full ownership of the company from his three business partners, driving further expansion into new areas such as vehicle hire and fleet services.
In 2022, the company rebranded to the lcv group, marking a new era with the acquisition of TR Fleet. The momentum continued in 2023 with the launch of a new website, enhancing the customer journey.
Most recently, in 2024, the lcv group relocated to a larger premises in Swansea, South Wales, reflecting its continued growth as a major employer and industry leader. The company’s dedication to excellence has been recognised with numerous awards across the years, including most recently being named Best Mid-Size Broker at the Broker News Awards earlier this year.
The lcv group’s success over the past quarter-century would not have been possible without the support of its customers, partners and the local community. The lcv group firmly believe in putting people first, from nurturing its team to empowering customers and engaging with the community.
“We’re proud of our past but even more excited about our future,” said Rod Lloyd, CEO of the lcv group. “We’re committed to progressing together – with our team, our customers and our community.”
With a dedicated team, the lcv group continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in commercial vehicle leasing, delivering excellence to customers across the UK.
