Walsh to captain youthful Ospreys in pre-season opener against Exeter

Versitile back Jack Walsh will skipper the Ospreys this weekend as they kick off pre-season with a tricky test against Exeter Chiefs at the Brewery Field tomorrow afternoon (2.30pm).

Steffan Thomas starts for the Ospreys at loosehead, with Lewis Lloyd lining up at hooker and Rhys Henry completing the front three.

Rhys Davies and James Fender start in the second row. Ross Moriarty lines up at six, Harri Deaves takes up the other flank and Morgan Morse starts at eight.

Luke Davies starts at scrum half with Jack Walsh at ten. Keiran Williams partners Connor Moyse in the centre.

In the back three, Max Nagy starts at full back, with Iestyn Hopkins on one wing and Luke Morgan on the other. 

The fixture is played before Ospreys head off to start the league campaign in South Africa on the 27th September against Bulls and the Stormers on October 3rd, before a first home fixture against Zebre Parma on Saturday, 11 October.
