2.30 – Six-furlong handicap
The inconsistent Safari Dream is taken to build on his latest revival. He’s won off higher marks in the past and his yard has been in excellent form recently so with Oisin Murphy booked he is chosen to defeat Tony Carroll’s Newsreader.
The latter went quite close last time and is down to what should be a very winnable mark now, and he tends to do best from the top of the weights in easier company.
3.00 – Seven-furlong novice stakes
Avionics left his debut form behind as most of from the yard do last time when finishing runner up over 7f. That run sets the standard on form and getting weight from his main rival he should be tough to beat.
Recent winner Perfect Nation’s debut runner up effort has been franked emphatically so he looks the big danger ridden by Billy Loughnane despite the penalty. First Mate can fill the podium if building on a mildly promising debut effort.
3.30 – Seven-furlong handicap
Multiple C&D winner Cypriot Diaspora returned to form when placed here last time and is now 9lb below her last winning mark.
With her yard in form and Oisin Murphy booked she is selected ahead of Bird of War and the unexposed Thestral who was in good form until his latest outing.
4.00 – Seven-furlong handicap
The consistent Rosemary’s Rose’s mark keeps creeping up but she looks the solid option here. She is yet to win on turf but has run some good races at this track and gets the assistance of Oisin Murphy who is backed for a quickfire double.
Kaleidoscope Eyes can act at this track and on this mark, so looks the chief threat here, though has gone better lower down the handicap. Piazza has been running well enough in two starts so far this term for Ollie Sangster and could make up the placings.
4.30 – One-mile maiden stakes
The experienced Arbaawy sets a clear standard and proved consistent until his last run which has at least been franked. However he’s had plenty of chances now and could be vulnerable to a talented newcomer.
Flagbearer was an expensive purchase for William Haggas and is related to a 12f Grade 1 winner. He represents a top stable which can get them ready first time so is worth chancing.
Vincenzo Bellini showed signs of greenness first time out but finished well when the penny dropped and can also play a part.
5.00 – One-mile handicap
Mythological Star can defy top weight here. He has shaped with promise on his last couple of novice runs and looks to have been given a lenient opening mark.
Last time out course winner Gelato needs to prove her stamina for this longer trip but remains well treated on her Irish form so should go close if seeing it out.
She can chase the selection home ahead of Somethingintheair who proved steadily progressive in maidens but may just need this on her return from a break.
5.30 – One-mile-and-half handicap
Ada Rose shed her maiden tag on the AW last time and is picked to follow up off 6lb higher. She’s unexposed on turf and her jockey booking suggests another big run is expected.
Houndswood Willow appeared to return to form on his first attempt at 12f last time and will be a big danger if building on that. Condotti remains a maiden but the top weight has proven generally consistent and with the interesting booking of Oisin Murphy can fight for a place.

Watching the action at Ffos Las
Racing at Ffos Las gets underway at 2.30 pm with the opening handicap and continues through to the final handicap on the flat at 5.30 pm, offering a full afternoon of competitive action.
