Corey Jones, 27, from Aberavon, Neath Port Talbot has been jailed following conviction for actual bodily harm, two counts of common assault, one count of rape and for breaching his restraining order.
He was sentenced to eight years in prison at Swansea Crown Court on Wednesday 5 March.
Detective Constable Rabaiotti from South Wales Police said: “I want to thank the victim in this case for their bravery and strength in coming forward and speaking to us and their commitment throughout the course of the investigation.”
