Lewis, 26, who returned to action at Ulster last weekend having been out since June 2024 with an Achilles injury is a product of the Scarlets’ academy. He rejoined the west-wallians in 2023 after a brief spell with Jersey Reds.

The former Wales Under-20s and Wales Sevens player has made 18 senior Scarlets appearances.

Lewis’ new deal comes after fellow academy product Macs Page, 20, agreed his first professional contract with the Welsh region.

Speaking on the new deal Lewis said:

“I’m chuffed to have signed a new contract for another two years. I have been here since I was 16, it is a great club. I had a brief spell with Jersey, winning the Championship title there, but I’m loving my time back here and chuffed to extend it.

“It was nice to be back out there last weekend against Ulster. Credit to the physios for getting me back in eight months after a nasty injury.

“For me now it is about getting a run of games for the rest of the season, with some massive matches on the horizon in the coming weeks.”

“We have a great young squad here who are all pushing each other week in, week out. The competition for places is healthy and all we can ask for is that we are all striving to move the team forward. It is an exciting squad to be part of.”

Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel said:

“Tomi has worked hard with the medical team to get back to full fitness and it was brilliant to see him pull on the jersey again last weekend out in Belfast.

“He is a player with genuine high-end pace that causes defences huge problems and he also knows the way to the tryline.

“I am sure he would have been in the conversation for a Wales tour place last summer had it not been for that Achilles setback in the final game of the season.

“Following the news about Macs re-signing, it is great to see another of our players who has come through our academy recommit to the club and we look forward to seeing Tomi as part of an exciting young back division here at Parc y Scarlets over the coming seasons.”
