The final round of Wilko store closures from administrator pwc have been announced.
Wilko’s Swansea, Neath and Carmarthen stores will all close on Sunday 8 October.
The news follows previous closure announcements for Ammanford (Tuesday 26 September), Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock (both Sunday 24 September).
Stores in Bridgend, Maesteg and Llanelli have already closed. Port Talbot and Morriston’s stores have also closed, being one of the first to do so after the retailer went into administration.
Wilko’s Ammanford and Pembroke Dock stores will be turned into Poundland outlets after a deal was struck by administrators with Pepco, the owners of Poundland, for 71 Wilko stores across the UK.
Discount retailer B&M has acquired 52 stores, however the location of these stores has not yet been publicly released.
Fellow retailer The Range has bought Wilco’s brand and website, but no stores.
