Fiction nightclub on Swansea’s Little Wind Street is known for it’s wild parties, DJ’s and special events. But the venue, popular with students and 18 to 25 year-old club-goers has announced it’s to close – with two final weekend party nights on Friday 11 August and Saturday 12 August.
It’s not all bad news though, with the club teasing more information about a brand new venue to open in Fiction’s place in time for Freshers Week in September.
Confirming the closure, a spokesperson for the club said: “Help us celebrate the end an era, as Fiction Swansea hosts its final weekend closing party nights this Friday11th August and Saturday 12th August.
“The good news is that the city will have a fresh new club opening in time for Fresher’s Week 2023. More details to be announced on 18th August, but expect a new management team, cool interiors and refreshed music and drinks offer. Watch this space for more details.”
Fiction is owned by Danish late night operator, REKOM, who are also transforming the former Idols bar on Wind Street into another one of their brands – ‘Proud Mary’, due to open this Autumn.
