The family of Ceiran Evans, the 18-year-old who died following a collision in Gorseinon last week, have paid tribute to him.
In a statement issued through South Wales Police, his family described him as a much-loved young man who “will be missed every single day.”
“Ceiran was loved more than any words can say,” they said.
“His kind heart, wicked sense of humour, loving nature, and handsome smile brought so much joy to everyone who knew him.”
“He will forever be our precious baby boy; always loved, always remembered, and never forgotten.”
Ceiran died at the scene after a collision between a car and an off-road bike on Pen Cae Crwn Road on Thursday.
Five men were arrested in the days that followed, as detectives appealed for footage from seven roads in the area.
On Saturday, Tyler Ford, 18, from Morriston, was charged with murder, and with the attempted murder of a second victim. He was remanded in custody to appear at Swansea Magistrates’ Court today.
The death has been strongly felt in Gorseinon, where ward councillors described it as “a devastating loss for our community” — thanking emergency services and residents, and urging people not to share footage of the incident or fuel speculation online while the investigation continues.
South Wales Police have continued to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has video footage, to come forward.
Information can be passed to the force online, or by calling 101, quoting reference 2600218457.
