Plaid Cymru beat the Conservatives in the run-off for Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Commissioner.

Mr Llywelyn was placed second after the first round of voting, behind Conservative Jon Burns.

However, once second preference votes were counted after the other candidates were eliminated, the Plaid candidate held onto his position for another term.

Unless a candidate gets at least 50% of votes, the system of voting for Police and Crime Commissioner means that all but the top two candidates are eliminated, and secondary votes on ballot papers for eliminated candidates are then counted instead.
