Police appeal for information after fatal A477 collision

Police are appealing for information after an elderly woman died following a two-vehicle collision on the busy A477 in Pembrokeshire.

The collision took place on the A477 in Pembrokeshire, between Broadmoor and Redberth on Wednesday (26 March) around 2,40pm.

The road was closed for around 6 hours while police carried out an investigation into the collision between a red Hyundai and a white Ford Transit Connect.

Police say an elderly woman, the driver of the red Hyundai, sadly died as a result of her injuries.

A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have information about a fatal collision on the A477 between Broadmoor and Redberth, Pembrokeshire, which occurred at about 2.40pm on Wednesday, March 26.

“Two cars were involved – a red Hyundai and a white Ford Transit Connect.

“Sadly, an elderly woman, the driver of the Hyundai, died as a result of her injuries. Her family is being supported by specialist officers.

“The road was closed for collision investigation and was reopened by 9pm.

“Anyone who may have been travelling along the A477 between Broadmoor and Redberth at the time, is asked to contact us.

“Investigating officers would particularly like to speak to any motorists who were in the area at that time who have dash cam in their vehicles.”
