The highly anticipated Wonka is arriving at cinema screens across the UK and Ireland this weekend and to celebrate Swansea’s Vue is offering film fans the chance to get their hands on a tasty treat to mark the occasion for free – a Wonka inspired Bubblegum Tango Ice Blast.

However, the freebie comes with a wonderfully Wonka-inspired catch – to be eligible for the freebie, Wonka ticket holders must first order a Tango Ice Blast while wearing a green wig, like those donned by the chocolatier’s Oompa-Loompa helpers.

An appropriate gift, given Vue is launching a limited-edition Bubblegum Tango Ice Blast flavour, inspired by the iconic character. The new flavour of this much-loved frozen drink will be available exclusively at Vue sites throughout the UK.

The promotion will run across all Vue venues during the film’s opening weekend, Friday (8 December) to Sunday (10 December). Those not donning a green barnet can enjoy a regular Tango Ice Blast for £5.49.

Toby Bradon, General Manager of Vue UK and Ireland, said: “The arrival of Wonka this weekend is the perfect start to the festive season. We’re thrilled to be making the arrival that extra bit special at Vue by launching a marvellous Bubblegum flavoured Tango Ice Blast – and offering customers the chance to have some fun grabbing themselves a free refreshment too.”
