28-year-old Hardy has played 21 internationals for Wales and scored 25 tries in 100 games for Scarlets since making his professional debut in 2014.

Born in Carmarthen, Hardy is the cousin of Ospreys scrum-half, Luke Davies. Similarly to Luke, Kieran spent time at the Jersey Reds and credits the time he spent there as a key factor behind him being the player he is today.

Hardy’s move will bring competition to the scrum-half position and see him compete with Luke and Reuben Morgan-Williams for the number nine jersey next season.

Speaking on the move, Hardy said:

“I’m looking forward to starting this next chapter of my career with the Ospreys. It looks like there’s been a lot of growth in the team this season, they’ve got a well-balanced blend of experienced players and some younger players coming through.

“After speaking with Toby, I was excited to see what I could bring to the team. There’s some real talent already at the scrum-half position and it’ll be great to bring my own strengths to the group.”

Head Coach, Toby Booth, commenting on the capture said:

“Kieran has an impressive skill set which we value. We are looking forward to him coming on board and keeping our squad’s momentum.

“It’s important to develop strength in depth in specialist positions. We are really pleased with current nines and added competition for places will only drive the standards up.”
