Pure Swansea have signed former Swansea City player Kyle Copp, adding a proven goalscorer ahead of their return to the Cymru South.
Copp arrives at the Sketty Lane club on the back of a prolific season with Pontardawe Town, where he was among the standout performers in the Ardal South West.
The Swansea-born player scored 32 goals and added eight assists last term, form that made him one of the most-watched names in the division.
A product of the Swansea City Academy, Copp spent more than a decade in the Swans’ youth system before turning professional in his teens.
His career since has taken in Yeovil Town, Merthyr Town, Llanelli, Redditch United and Trefelin, as well as a spell playing in Spain.
He has proved a relentless scorer at this level in recent years, winning a golden boot with 47 goals in the West Wales Premier League in 2024/25 before his latest spell at Pontardawe.
Those goals have now earned him a move across the patch to a Pure Swansea side on the up.
The club, who play at Swansea Bay Sports Park on Sketty Lane, won the Ardal South West title last season to secure promotion back to the Cymru South.
That return to the second tier of Welsh football marks a swift bounce-back for a club that has climbed steadily since reforming in 2011.
Pure Swansea were known as Swansea University FC until a rebrand in 2025, and have racked up multiple promotions and cup wins in their relatively short history.
Manager Jack Midwinter has been strengthening his squad for the step up, and Copp’s arrival is among the more eye-catching pieces of business.
For Copp, it is a homecoming of sorts — back in Swansea, at a club close to where his career began in the Swans’ academy.
The Cymru South represents a step up in class from the Ardal Leagues, and clubs returning to the division often face a battle to establish themselves.
Copp’s experience across the Welsh and English non-league pyramid, and abroad, could prove valuable as Pure Swansea look to consolidate.
Copp joins with the new season approaching, as Midwinter’s side prepare for life back in the Cymru South.
