Sketty Foodbank provides emergency food, toiletries, baby essentials and household goods to individuals and families in crisis in Swansea, including asylum seekers and refugees.
The donation from the Amazon team will go towards purchasing much needed toiletry and cleaning items such as toothpaste, washing up liquid and washing powder.
Dan Boulger, Site Leader at Amazon in Swansea, said: “No one should have to worry about going hungry, but unfortunately the problem is becoming more prevalent every day in Swansea and beyond. Sketty Foodbank is a wonderful charity in our community that that helps to combat food poverty and hunger, and we’re pleased to support the charity’s staff and volunteers with this donation.”
Loraine Nabhan, an employee from Amazon in Swansea, added: “Sketty Foodbank is a fantastic charity that’s close to my heart. The support it provides to those in need in the city is vital, and I’m so pleased we could support the charity and raise awareness of its amazing work.”
