South Wales Police say they are continuing with an investigation after a suspicious incident outside Clase Primary School where a girl was allegedly grabbed by an unknown man.

The incident is thought to have taken place around 8.45am on Friday morning (14 May).

The suspect is described as white, around 6ft tall with a slim build with brown eyes and blonde hair down to his ears. He was wearing a black Covid mask, black long sleeved jacket which was zipped up and of silky material, black trousers which were possibly jeans and red trainers.

Officers would like to hear from anyone in and around the Longview Road, Third Avenue or Elan Avenue who may have either private or business CCTV, doorbell footage, or dashcam video on Friday morning between 7am and 9am.

DI Wells said: “Incidents of this nature are very rare and in this instance the girl has not been harmed at all.

“Nonetheless I completely understand the concern it has caused both the girl and her family but also the community in Clase.
