Police name 36-year old who died in Easter Monday A40 crash
Dyfed Powys Police have named the 36-year-old who died after being hit by a car on the A40 between Carmarthen and St Clears in the early hours of Monday April 1.
The family of a man who sadly passed away following a road traffic collision in Carmarthenshire have said his “tragic and untimely death has been felt throughout the community.”
Owen Lewis, aged 36, was involved in a collision on the A40 near to Carmarthen Showground on Monday, April 1, 2024.
His family has issued a statement to say: “Owen was a kind, polite and much loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, who was always happy to help anyone.
“He enjoyed his daily work on the family farm and with the family’s agricultural contracting business.
“Owen’s tragic and untimely death has been felt throughout the community.
“He will be sadly missed, and will always be in our hearts.”
Dyfed Powys Police say their investigation team are continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have information or dashcam footage.
Anyone who may have been travelling along the A40 at around 4.45am on Monday, April 1, is asked to contact Dyfed Powys Police, quoting reference 24000302552.
