Body found in search for missing Daniel Jones
South Wales Police say a body found on the banks of the River Loughor has been identified as Daniel Jones, reported missing from Pontarddulais in December 2023.
Daniel was last seen on Water Street in Pontarddulais around 11.30pm on Monday 18 December 2023.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “On Sunday March 24th, we were notified by Dyfed-Powys Police of the discovery of a body of a man on the bank of the Loughor Estuary.
“The body has been identified as that of Daniel Jones, who was reported missing from the Swansea area in December 2023.
“Daniel’s immediate family has been informed. They are being supported by specially-trained officers.
“Dyfed-Powys Police will oversee the Coroner’s enquiry and Mr. Jones’ family has been contacted by the Coroner’s Office.”
